Icon 2004: Science Fiction, Fantasy and Role-Playing Festival
Tel Aviv Cinematheque, October 3-5, 2004

ICon is the annual celebration of science fiction, fantasy and role playing in Israel. The festival is held every year in the Sukkoth holiday in the Tel Aviv Cinematheque.

2004 will mark the 8th Icon festival and will be hosting highly acclaimed Canadian fantasy author Guy Gavriel Kay.

The festival's theme this year is "Life and Death", an ever-relevant topic that is at the heart of some of the best works of the genre.

The festival is produced in conjunction with the Tel Aviv municipality and the Tel Aviv Cinematheque, and is organized by 3 volunteer-based non-profit organizations: The Israeli Society for Science Fiction and Fantasy, Starbase 972 -- The Israeli Star Trek Fan Club, and the Israeli Role-Playing Association.
